Aniuk Consulting, LLC was founded in 2007 and provides complete GIS and/or environmental analysis, and quantitative modeling solutions for small business, industry, and government agencies. Aniuk Consulting, LLC personnel have backgrounds in environmental science, geography, hydrology, watershed management, and remote sensing, combined with strong GIS analysis and programming skills. Aniuk Consulting, LLC is located in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Where did our business name, “Aniuk”, come from?
“Aniuk” is an Inuit word meaning “snow for drinking water.” In
2003, the founders of Aniuk Consulting, LLC began working together on a project to develop a forecasting system for snowmelt runoff at the University of Idaho. Initial funding was provided by the Pacific Northwest Regional Collaboratory (PNWRC) and NASA. We owe our start to these funding agencies and the Department of Geography for providing us with research funding and our educational background. We’ve been working together ever since and “aniuk” seems fitting as it describes our research origins and how we came to know one another. |
